Rate of Pay: $16.50/hr. - 18.00/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Assist the Chef/Cafe Manager with daily operations of the Lake View Café

  • Create a professional atmosphere that ensures the highest quality of service to the visitors.
  • Prepare, cook and assemble a variety of food offerings. Manage and monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable, timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and seating area.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
  • Receive food and beverage deliveries, check delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.

B.  Assist the Chef/Cafe Manager with the Supervision of Café Staff

  • Second in command to supervise a team of 6-8 Café Assistants. Assist Chef/Cafe Manager with establishing, delegating and overseeing duties of Café Staff.
  • Assist with the training Cafe Assistants. Ensure that ADKX standards for personnel performance and customer service are followed.
  • Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
  • Identify potential employee problems and work with Chef/Cafe Manager, Director of Finance, and Human Resources Manager to take necessary actions.

 

 
Position Requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment/establishment required.
  • Understanding of Department of Health guidelines required (must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification).
  • Strong managerial/supervisory skills including the ability to train staff in properly executing food preparation tasks.
  • Experience operating a POS operating system required.
  • Friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills required. Must be able to communicate clearly and congenially with visitors about ADKX offerings.
  • Must be able to multi-task, problem solve and work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
