Visitor Information Assistant |
Since opening our doors to the public in 1957, Adirondack Experience has delighted millions of visitors with fascinating exhibits and stories about life in the Adirondack region. With over 23 historical and contemporary buildings on 121 acres overlooking Blue Mountain Lake, our open-air campus offers everyone lots to see and do. Step into the rich history of our region as you row an authentic guideboat from the new ADKX Boathouse and break up a logjam or set off a mine charge in our Life in the Adirondacks exhibit.

The museum is looking for outgoing and enthusiastic individuals who have experienced vacationing or living in the Adirondacks to act as ADKX brand ambassadors.
Rate of Pay: $15.50/hr.
Join us for a fun summer! Employment at the ADKX allows for free or discounted admission to dozens of area attaractions and museusm for the employee and up to 3 guests.
Position Descriptions:
- Engage and greet visitors as they enter the Visitor Center
- Inform them about new exhibits
- Assist with addressing visitor concerns and or complaints, such as dogs in cars, locked keys
- Inform guests of our service dog policy
- Greet and welcome all tour groups as necessary, board buses and provide quick orientation
- Help update Visitor Center TV monitor with daily events and any other content as director by MKTG Director
- Ensure visitor brochures, racks and general visitor center areas are tidy and presentable
- Assist visitors with questions they may have about surrounding area.
- Responsible for being familiar and up-to-date with information about rates, open hours, special events, daily activities, workshops, current exhibitions, etc.
- Assist admissions and membership desk as needed – and where possible
- Express Check-in Online ticket holders
- Check in and check out Lake View Café only customers
- Assist Marketing deparment as needed - tabling events, brochure distribution, survey collectio
